This was an environment modeling exercise that got a little out of hand.
It all started as a simple geometry nodes exercise in Blender to create a simple-ish mine environment from a single curve and a couple of simple models.
Then, after I was done with it, it was impossible not to keep adding to it, and, as a horror fan, I just had to add a monster lurking in the dark. 🙂





Here’s a quick breakdown of the process, though I’ll probably create a tutorial explaining in a bit more detail:
And a better look at the monster, for this I just deformed a human base mesh in sculpt mode, added a few extra loopcuts in the neck area, added a quick rig with Rigify and then added textures in Substance Painter:
